Practical access guidance, informed by lived experience.
I am Saleem Akhter, founder of EVARAACCESS. Over the past thirteen years, I have observed the access problems disabled people face when using shops, hotels and other businesses.
I built EVARAACCESS to help businesses give customers clearer information and identify practical barriers in the customer journey.
What we help businesses do
Our current work focuses on remote reviews of published access information, booking steps and pre-visit questions. We can also help draft access pages, FAQs and staff information using details the business verifies.
The customer journey connects the website, information, physical access, service, staff and overall experience. Our review explains which observations we can make remotely and which questions need local evidence or specialist support.
What this experience means
Lived experience helps us notice practical questions that vague accessibility labels leave unanswered. It is not a claim of professional engineering, legal or building-inspection qualifications, or of representing every disabled person's needs.
How we work
- Useful detail: describe the route, room or service a customer needs to understand.
- Honest evidence: separate what we observed online from what a business reports and what remains unknown.
- Customer choice: provide information people can use to decide whether a visit will work for them.
- Clear agreements: begin with a brief free initial review and agree the scope and price before any paid work.
Who we work with
Hotels, restaurants, retail businesses and the teams managing their websites, reservations and customer information. We welcome international enquiries and confirm suitability, language, scope and any specialist requirements before accepting work.
Our current services are remote. We do not offer certification, guaranteed legal compliance or a full technical WCAG audit.
Start with your customer's question
